Our Programs
At Roo's Place we believe that young children learn best by having fun and enjoying themselves using a hands on approach in a safe and nurturing environment. The activities we plan for your children, the way we organize the envronment, select toys and materials, plan the daily schedule, and talk to your children, are all designed to accomplish the goals of our curriculum and give your child a successful start in life. We use play to achieve the key goals of our curriculum. After all...play is the work of children!
Early Learning
Infants
Our experienced, caring staff will stimulate your baby's emotional, physical and cognitive development. We recognize that every child is unique, with distinctive care giving needs. For an infant, everyday is a day filled with discovery. To help your infant develop and grow, we've created a safe and nurturing environment filled with all the comforts of home.
Toddlers
Our toddler room is designed to keep active minds and busy bodies engaged with hands on learning environments and activities. We allow for movement, and encourage toddlers to explore freely and independently. Older toddlers will participate in our Beginning Preschool program, introducing them to routine and guiding them towards a more structured learning process. At this age, we assist parents in the potty training process of their child.
Preschool
We use the "Creative Curriculum" in our preschool program. Our program addresses all of the important areas of learning through play and hands on experiences, while providing more structure and routine for Kindergarten readiness. Our preschool goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive learners. We allow them to learn at their own pace and in ways that are unique to each child.
Latch-Key - Before School and/or After School
We offer support and encouragement with homework assistance to help ensure your child's success in school. We provide age appropriate supervised activities indoors and outdoors to peak your child's interest in a safe, friendly, clean environment. We provide full day care when schools are closed or cancelled and during breaks and summer.
